From Ranch to Jar – How I Source My Tallow
Quality starts at the source, and that’s especially true with tallow.
I use grass-fed beef kidney suet, which is considered the cleanest and most nutrient-dense fat on the animal. Where and how the animal is raised matters—not just ethically, but nutritionally. Grass-fed tallow has a better fatty acid profile and higher vitamin content than conventionally raised alternatives.
Once sourced, the rendering process is just as important. I render tallow slowly and carefully to remove impurities while preserving its natural benefits. This isn’t something that can be rushed. Good tallow takes time.
From there, it becomes the base for balms, soaps, lotions, and creams that are designed to support real skin - not overwhelm it.
Every jar starts with intention long before it ever reaches your hands.
